Plans for winter already.
As I promised in my last post I have one explanation about last weeks humiliation against jerkbaits,just kidding..no explanations but one thing I noticed was that I really need to practice my casting technique in tough weather conditions,this summer has been much of searching for new nice places for the autumn and as you all know so combing new places in hurry is much more effective with spincasting then with flies and I´ll have to admit that I have all to often grabbed my spin rod when the the wind has been troublesome and I´ll have just one or two hours time to fish.
At our contest Fly VS Jerk I felt it time by time a little bit frustrating to get my fly out only 10 meters in a troublesome wind only because of bad casting technique.
So now when I move to a new place I´ll hope they don´t think that I´m crazy when they see me on a windy day out at some field training my casting technique.
It feels a little bit strange to already make plans for the forthcoming winter when I still have a slight chance to make one trip this season

Meilläkin oli tänään jerk vs fly :) 2 jerkkimiestä ja perhomies. Saalis mulle jerkillä 1 puikkari+pari tapahtumaa, keulamiehelle 0 perholla + pari tapahtumaa ja kipparille jerkillä täysin tapahtumaton nolla. Voe vittu mikä päivä. Ja joo, kalastettiin tosiaan 7 tuntia

Hello Djuza, good luck with your casting practice! But I would like to give a comment on that matter. I recently saw that your latest rod is a ‘Guideline LPXe RS’, which is a great salt water rod, but it’s a broomstick if you want to cast big bushy pike flies (I’ve tested it myself). What you need is a rod with a very progressive action, this way you can load your rod very well with the weight of your fly, and shoot it every distance you want (wind or no wind).

I bought that LPXE rod instead of A.Jensen High tide #10.In my opinion it´s a fantastic rod BUT it requires a perfect technique.The action is not just fast,it´s very fast.
That could also be a reason why my casting suffering,too many different types of rods ?
Jep, alkusyksy tosiaan oli parasta... Ite alan olemaan vähän jo kylläinen tän vuoden hauenkalastuksiin. Tutuille mestoille ei ole veneongelmien takia päässyt sitten lokakuun alun ja muilla mestoilla on joutunut usein käyttämään jotain soutuvenettä tai kellurengasta. Kellurenkaastakin joutunut nykyään heittämään virppaa kun oikea olkapää on niin huonossa kunnossa ettei kestä perhonheittoa. Täytyy varmaan talvella opetella heittämään vasurilla
