Vacation over so there has been less fishing lately.also my fishing has been mostly exploring new venues and to fish among reeds so it have been a bit slow,but hey,not a single blank draw this season.

Thunder in the air.

I knew it right from the start there could be some rain and thunder so I fished only some spots close to were I launched my kayak.

Hard work with a dash of luck pays off.

Exploring new venues in +28 degrees is usually nothing rewarding.
After 10 hours without a single contact we were ready to give up and I was mentally prepared for my first blank draw of the season when it suddenly happend...

Strong winds July 7 2015

For the first time I was out in a wind that made my paddling impossible.
Forecasts promised 6 m/s and at one time when I checked observations it said 14 m/s and up to 17 m/s in gusts.
Wind gusts was so strong that no matter how much I paddled,I went backward,I was totally exhausted when I get back to shore but need to say this time I really appreciated the stability of my Big Rig.
It's very important for me to feel safe out there.
It's a shame I couldn't capture on film how big those waves really were and how strong the wind gusts  were.
Still managed to catch something.

Evening session July 4 2015

Have found it very nice to go out for just couple of hours,fishing can be rewarded and especially now when I'm on holiday it doesn't matter if it's gettin a bit late,like on this session when I was home at 2.30 am

Stress-free fishing June 29 2015

Rain,wind and cold use to best fishing weather but sometimes it feel so good to be out in good weather just paddling and enjoy the surroundings.
Any fish will be a bonus.

Pike brothas in the night

It has been a while since I have been out fishing with this kind of change in weather including everything from warm sunshine to a rain that made totally soaked even if I had a wading jacket on,from a totally calm surface to a wind that made our paddling very difficult not to mention the fly casting.

Of course we had a wind against us which made a 30 min trip last for 2.5 hours.
But as a compensation we had a good time with some good fishes and nice fights.
Can't wait for next time
